and has been manufacturing gardening, industrial, and agricultural implements in Wigan, England since 1780.

Bulldog Tools have been making gardening, industrial and agricultural tools in Wigan, England since 1780 and are one of the oldest remaining tool manufacturers in the United Kingdom.
Much of our Premier gardening range is manufactured, assembled, designed, tested and finished in Wigan, England with some component parts and other items sourced from other countries under our strict supervision, allowing customers to benefit from high quality tools at competitive prices.
The range includes digging, cultivating, and pruning tools designed to ensure that you can enhance your garden so that it will blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.
Our Bulldog Tools tradestands have won many awards at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show
and in 2011 our Bulldog Forge Garden won a coveted RHS Gold Medal. It was visited by our late Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to the show that year.
Sustainability has been placed at the heart of the business’s future with a commitment to manufacture and supply tools that last a lifetime

Bulldog Tools has over 240 years of British heritage at its heart. Based at Clarington Forge in Wigan, England, the Bulldog brand has always been known for strength, quality and durability. A tradition buried deep into the design and build of our tool ranges.
Skill and craftsmanship has always been the key to the company’s success , handed down through the generations. Our range of contractor, garden and landscape tools reflect the traditions upon which the Bulldog name has been built. The Bulldog factory in Wigan produces over 1500 tools per day. It’s quite common for several generations of the same family to have worked for the company, with some employees tracing their family ties back over four generations.
Our steel is of a unique specification which results in exceptional strength and flexibility, bsorbing shock and pressure without distorting or breaking.

The finest ash is used for our handles which are turned in our wood shop, with the YD Handles steamed and formed then varnished.
